Home to a unique dome-shaped ceiling, the Planetarium’s night sky experience takes visitors on a journey through the galaxy using a Zeiss Jena ZPK1 star projector. Illuminating the eight-metre diameter domed ceiling with an artificial night sky, the projector shows the relative positions and brightness of about 5,000 stars visible from the Southern Hemisphere, constellations, and planets.

Based at the University of South Australia's Mawson Lakes Campus, on Level 2 of Building P, our completely air-conditioned dome, seats 36+ people in specially-designed chairs that allow the audience to admire all parts of the artificial sky in ease and comfort.
